Doctor says the menieres is in my left ear, but the aural fullness, I feel it in my right ear consistently. Rarely if ever in the left ear. That sounds weird to me... Any one with any input on this matter? I am at a loss.

Sorry, can't say I've heard of menieres in one ear, but who knows. My dx is bilateral weakness with possible Menieres, vestibular migraines, and another unknown headache. I think the doctor threw Menieres in there so my private disability people would acknowledge the condition and pay me since working is not a possibility right now.

Sorry to hear about your diagnosis, but hope there is a bit of comfort in knowing the dx and developing a "plan".
I had this eCog test last week, and found out yesterday that I have Meniere's. It is in my left ear, where my initial vestibular function began, and they are doing some sinus mri's next week to see if the "fullness"/pressure I feel in my right middle ear is "sinus related". Perhaps this might be something that you can ask your ENT/Doctors about. Be as well as you can today, and thanks for sharing. we are never alone.

Thank you all for your responses. I am just as confused as everyone else about these varied diagnoses. I just do as much research as I can from as many venues as possible, cross reference and compare symptoms. I just found it odd that the ENT called it on my right side but the ear pain and aural fullness is on my left. Conversely, when I am having a full blown attack it's triggered (maybe) when I turn my head to the right and then back to the front....
weird. |
